I can’t even tell you how much I love @the.volunteer.network and everyone that runs it. |
After leaving school with no GCSEs I decided to join The Volunteer Network in one of their programs kickstart. During this I gained English and math functional skills qualifications as well as a diploma in work practices which then lead to being an intern in their workplace which helped me to understand what is expected in a work place With all this experience I now have a secure job. The volunteer network has help me to gain confidence to be able to move forward in life. I've been on various days from working with the RSPCA to environmental volunteering and even dragon boat racing where I didn't know any of the other volunteers or the majority of the staff and being led by the example of the staff at TVN I have learned the skills I needed to be more sociable in these situation from starting conversations to keeping in touch with new friends. The TVN has helped me gained amazing skills which I have used though out professional career, I would personal like to thank everyone over the years who has supported this great and wonderful charity the work you guys do is fantastic, thank you for all the great memories and the amazing friends I've made along the way. You guys helped me do things which I would never do, And also made a lot of new friends :) thanks a lot to sue, Anna, Scott, tannas, nick, and the rest of you brilliant guys who I haven't mentioned, go continue your infectious joy and happiness throughout |
