One of our main aims at TVN is to offer a wide range of volunteering events to people aged 14-35 all around the South West of England. We see a huge need in rural areas for activities, support and social spaces.
One of the main reasons we do this is to get you out having fun with no hidden cost. Just free adventures. Volunteering also helps people build their work experience portfolio, making friends, becoming more physically/mentally healthy, building confidence, learning about different areas and so much more. Previous volunteers of ours have gotten new jobs from their work experience at events, they've met the future husband/wife, they combatted their drugs and alcohol dependence, they've learnt to cook and so much more. We aim to help with transport (within reason), provide food and drinks at the events and be there throughout in case we're needed by you. Our aim is to let you experience events/volunteering opportunities with our support so you can enjoy yourself and know your safe. What volunteering events we do at The Volunteer Network: We do a huge amount of different events including beach cleans, music festival's, conservation projects for woodlands and so much more. What you'll do: You could anything from being a backstage steward to making candy floss. The roles are endless and if you have a preference we'll happily help. What you'll get: You'll not only get the experience with all the free fun but some events offer free goodie bags, money for lunch from local venders and crew t-shirts. How you'll help: All of our events help the community in one way or another. You good be helping to fundraise from local charity's/projects, saving wildlife, helping the limited RSPCA teams keep animals safe and many more. Key details: You have to fill in a consent form before you come to an event so we have emergency details if there's an accident. We have a strict no drink or drugs rule at all of our events. You'll only need to bring weather appriotate clothing and a water bottle. Everything else will be provided, unless told otherwise. You have to be nice and remember you're volunteering and the aim is to have fun. Who's right for the role: Anyone aged 14-35 who would like to come have an adventure. Some events may not be suitable for certain physical disabilities but we aim to be inclusive of everyone so if you have any worries feel free to ask. |
