Big News we are changing!
As many of you know, after a three-month consultation with everyone who uses the charity and supporting groups, we’re moving forward with the process of formally changing the charity's name to better reflect our work in the community.
at the open meeting on the 19th Novembers
everyone voted to change our name to
"Growing Happiness"
In addition to the name change, we’ll also voted on updating our constitution to represent a wider group, reflecting the current scope of our work.
Take a deep breath. its not that bad we're simply changing our name!
Since 1999, when we focused on empowering young people in Mendip, then in 2000 across Somerset, and the Southwest and then in 2005 we expanded our mission to support people of all ages, helping communities overcome diverse challenges.
When COVID-19 reshaped our world, we refocused on Glastonbury and surrounding areas, offering vital support to everyone —think warm spaces, men's groups, play days for under 3s, and community allotments providing sustenance, training and space to just to sit and feel better.
So now our name no longer reflects our work.
We do this mainly on our Tue-Wed sessions but we also run sessions throughout the week and have events at the weekends. So if you have some spare time you want to do "something" in give us a shout!

I had the best time of my life and met some of the most amazing people from the workers to the other campers 
Thank you for all the great memories and the amazing friends I've made along the way. 
I loved being part of the Volunteer Network! The best bit was getting to meet such a diverse range of people from all around the community 
I still recall the fun and laughter and there are many experiences I don’t feel I would have gotten without them. 
The Volunteer Network is tremendously important and we have found them to be incredibly helpful to us

I have done things I never thought I would have done again. I went camping which was a huge leap from not going out in the evenings 
My experience with the Volunteer Network also definitely helped me get my first proper part time job. 
Definitely up there with one of the best volunteer groups I’ve worked with and would love to have you back at future events. 
It's so rewarding to see some of the young people who start out shy, unmotivated and unsure of themselves turn into valuable members of the group who take initiative, confidently interact with the public and blossom into competent and helpful team members 
The Volunteer Network is an invaluable service, in some cases catching young people with little or no direction before they "slip through the net
